INVENTORY
Inventory is a project dedicated to exploring and preserving the ephemeral characteristics of public spaces and street furniture. By traveling to cities worldwide, we 3D scan street objects, facades, statues, and other elements using photogrammetry, focusing on items at risk of renovation or replacement to capture their transient cultural significance.
Public spaces serve as dynamic canvases, continuously collecting cultural imprints through graffiti, tags, and stickers. These elements are subject to weathering, impact, and maintenance, creating unique and ever-changing urban tapestries. Unlike artifacts safeguarded in museums, street furniture remains vulnerable to change.
In our studio, we transform these digital 3D scans into artworks and videos, creating a digital inventory that immortalizes the vibrant essence of city life. We document and preserve objects in a digital 3D format to create an inventory and reveal it in the shape of virtual installations reflecting the vibes of cities. Our virtual installations reveal the distinctive atmosphere of each location, showcasing the beauty and fragility of urban cultural expressions.
